How Much Does NEMT Dispatch Software Cost Per Month?
By Pulse | October 26, 2026 | 6 min read

NEMT dispatch software costs about $50 to $230 a month for one van, and roughly $350 to $1,050 a month for a 10-van fleet. Those are the rates vendors publish.
Your own cost depends on three things: the price model, how many vans you run and how many trips you do. Every figure below comes from a public price list, so you can check the math.
THE SHORT ANSWER
One van runs about $50 to $230 a month. Ten vans run about $350 to $1,050. Pulse is priced per completed trip, with no setup fee and no monthly minimum.
How Do Vendors Charge?
Vendors use one of three models. Each one suits a different kind of fleet.
Per Van
You pay a set amount for each van on the system. NEMT Cloud Dispatch lists $49.99 a month for one van, and the rate per van drops as you add more. Bambi lists one flat rate of $69 per van per month.
Per Trip
You pay a base fee plus an amount for every trip. MediRoutes lists $150 a month plus $0.50 per trip with one broker connection, or $250 plus $0.50 per trip with all of them.
Read the small print on this model. That price list counts a round trip as two trips, and it bills you for no-shows and for trips canceled at the door.
Per Completed Trip
Pulse works this way. You pay for trips that are completed. There is no setup fee and no monthly minimum, and a cancelled trip costs nothing. Ask for a figure built on your own trip count.
What Does One Van Cost?
One van costs $49.99 to about $230 a month at these rates. The low end is a single-van plan. The high end is a per-trip plan, if that van runs 160 one-way trips a month.
What Does a 10-Van Fleet Cost?

A 10-van fleet pays about $350 to $1,050 a month. That is the honest range at this size. The example assumes 8 one-way trips per van per day, over 20 working days. That is 1,600 trips a month.
| Price model | Published rate | Per month | Per trip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Per van, tiered | $149.99 plus $39.99 per van over 5 | $349.94 | $0.22 |
| Per van, flat | $69 per van | $690 | $0.43 |
| Per trip, one broker | $150 plus $0.50 per trip | $950 | $0.59 |
| Per trip, all brokers | $250 plus $0.50 per trip | $1,050 | $0.66 |
At this volume, per-van pricing wins. Cut the trips in half to 800 and the per-trip bills fall to $550 and $650, while the per-van bills stay put. One broker on a per-trip plan then costs less than the flat $69 per van rate. Run your own trip count through each model before you compare quotes.
Pulse is not in the table, because its price follows completed trips. The quote starts from your own trip count.
What Is Not in the Monthly Price?
The headline rate rarely covers everything. Ask each vendor to list these in writing:
- Extra broker connections
- Text message and reminder credits
- Phones or tablets for drivers
- Clearinghouse or billing service fees
- Paid setup or data transfer
MediRoutes, for example, charges $100 once you add a second broker connection. Small items like that move your real cost more than the base rate does.
Do Wheelchair Vans Cost More?
No. The published price lists above count vans or trips, not the type of vehicle. A wheelchair van costs the same to run on the software as an ambulatory one.
What does change your cost is how many vans you put on the system, and how many trips they do.
Is Billing Included?
Sometimes. NEMT Cloud Dispatch and Bambi both list billing in what you get at their published rates. Other vendors keep it separate, and that one line moves your cost more than any other feature does.
If billing is not included, add a billing service or clearinghouse to your monthly total. A platform that looks cheaper can end up costing more once you do. Pulse sends Medicaid claims to eMedNY.
Is There a Setup Fee or a Contract?
Often there is neither, but get it in writing. NEMT Cloud Dispatch and Bambi both say no setup fees and no contracts. Pulse charges no setup fee and no monthly minimum.
How Does That Compare to Paying a Dispatcher?
At $350 to $1,050 a month, a 10-van fleet spends $4,200 to $12,600 a year on software.
$50,340
The national median pay for one dispatcher, per year, according to federal wage data. That is more than the software costs at any size shown here.
Good software also changes how many vans one dispatcher can handle, and that is where most of the money comes back.
Budget for Next Year’s Fleet
Price the software for the fleet you want in 12 months, not the one you have today. Per-van bills grow with every van. Per-trip bills grow with every broker contract you win.
Then look at price next to broker connections, routing and contract terms. A cheaper platform that makes you work around it costs more in the end.
Check your cost per trip, not just per month. That number tells you straight away whether the software is keeping pace with your growth.
